AS OF 04/20/06, ALL ISSUES RECOVERED!

[Dick Stewart writes: I’m very happy to report that all the issues of the mid-‘60s Albuquerque Newsletter, The Lance, have now been recovered! Those of you who purchased The Lance Volume II “The Mid-60’s Garage Band Explosion” (now out-of-print) will now be able to order the issues that were not available during the time this volume was published. Specifically, those issues are: May 1967 through September 1967. I haven’t seen those letters for nearly 40 years; so you can imagine how I felt when I set eyes on them once again! What a trip!

In a nutshell, these rediscovered issues contain many articles of historic value covering both local (New Mexico and Arizona) and national bands and events with some great cartoon sketches and ads (mostly designed by The Kreegs’ Bob Sturtcman), and some very interesting pics that haven’t surfaced since the mid-‘60s. So be the first (besides myself) to finally have a complete collection of The Lance Newsletter. This is the only newsletter publication that covered the Southwest in detail during the mid-‘60s, and that’s no exaggeration!]
